Is this thing on?
(This is just the beginning, expect more cheesy, original "jokes" to come)
Well, this is my very first post in my very first blog - ever!
Right now I'm still trying to raise the funds to move to Seattle. I'm far from giving up, but I'm beginning to doubt if this move is meant to be. It seems whenever I take one step forward, something happens that forces me to take two steps back. Because the ecomony is on the brink of recession (news to me, I thought we've been in one for years?!) and the stock market is taking a nose dive towards Hades, I no longer have the funds available in my 401k for the loan I was counting on. This means unless the market is blessed with a miracle, I won't see a dime of my 401k money until AFTER I've left my job and moved to Seattle. grrrrrrr. Thankfully, my family has stepped up with loans to aid in the moving costs, but I'm still a bit short. I have to find some way to raise the money quickly!
For those of you who aren't lucky enough to hear my regular rambling/venting on the topic of Seattle, let me catch you up to speed: My current lease is up April 1st, I must give my vacate notice by Jan 31st. I have no apartment lined up in Seattle (the vacancy rate is 3% right now and their tenants are only required to give 30 day notice), no job lined up in Seattle (too early to apply), and as of today, not enough cash to fund the 1,686.64 mile move. Am I still giving my vacate notice at the end of the month? Yep, I'm that crazy.
*dramatic soap opera narrator voice*
Will Angela make the move to Seattle or will she end up living in her parents' spare bedroom? Will she end up homeless and penniless, begging for scraps of food on a busy highway median in Seattle? Will her frightened 8 year old cat have an aneurysm in the U-Haul truck on the way out there?
WHAT WILL HAPPEN???
Stay tuned folks!

Say Whaaaat??!!
