So long for now...

As I was driving home last night I had a great view of Mt. Rainier and it was glowing beautifully in the evening light. And I realized that I am leaving a part of my heart here - in the mountains, the wilderness, and in the people I have come to know and love.

This weekend I am saying good-bye to Rainier and some friends. Saturday morning I am getting up really early to do a Rainier Round About. It's an idea I came up with and intended to do, but never did, involving driving all the way around Mt Rainier. First I drive straight out from Auburn to Sunrise, taking a short hike there. Then take Stevens Canyon Rd and keep following to the other side of the mountain (Paradise, Longmire) taking a short hike near Paradise. Then head home. It will take up most of the day. Then Saturday evening my friends are throwing me a bon voyage party. This is my last weekend here. But I have every intention of returning to the Northwest again, I still have lots of coast to explore! Ciao for now ~

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

Well, looks like I'll be changing the title of my blog yet again. My little adventure in Seattle is over for now, I'm packing up my car and heading home. There are a lot of personal reasons for this, primarily concerning my health and finances.

Maybe I won't change the title of the blog after all... I really hope to return here once I get my life in order. The pacific northwest is a beautiful, vibrant place to live. I will most definitely miss it. Until we meet again...
