I Have Internet - FINALLY!
Hello, from lovely Seattle!
Sorry it's taken me so long to post. I've been anxious to write, I've had so much to share but it took forever to get my internet hooked up and some of the people at the public library were a little scary/smelly, so I tried to limit my time there.
So here I am - I arrived here safe and sound on April 2nd. So much has happened since we left on March 31st, I don't know where to begin. Well, for starters the rental truck they had for us was beyond "library stranger smelly" so they sent us a new one. I mean brand spankin' new - never before rented :) Big Grin. Anyone who's ever driven a rental truck cross country will vouch for the awesomeness of that news.
See it shine and sparkle? It wasn't so sparkly when we returned it.
Neither was she. But oddly, they wouldn't take her.

Poor thing was/is SO traumatized. And as if I didn't feel guilty enough for towing her, zipped up in her carrier like a piece of luggage for 1,600 miles across 5 states, she decided to give me the cold shoulder. Whenever we would stop at a motel, she would completely ignore me and cozy up to Julian as if it was MY fault she was traumatized. Well, it sorta was... my but how can a cat know that and why did Julian get off scott-free?! I've never seen her so obviously upset with me (except for the time she relieved herself on my white down comforter). I felt terribly bad for her, but now that Julian has gone back to Minnesota she will once again acknowledge me (no choice - ha!) But she still meows non-stop and won't let me sleep for more than a couple hours at a time - as if I wasn't tired enough. Wait 'til you hear everything I did in the last 10 days, it's more than some people do in a year! More about that tomorrow - I have to go to bed early since I can only sleep in 2 hour intervals. Good night.
