Saturday 10/18 - Snoqualmie

Oh Heavenly Day!

And the crisp, sparkling autumn days continue. Yesterday I visited the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and the Snoqualmie area. Now through my abundance of photos, come along with me on one of the most scenic drives in the Pacific Northwest.

Some of the back roads to Snoqualmie yield the best shots.

Below: I stopped at some State Parks near Snoqualmie Pass, don't recall the name of this one.

Fact: "Snoqualmie" is derived from a Salish word meaning "moon". The pictures below were taken in and around Snoqualmie Pass.

Now onto Snoqualmie Falls, the second most visited tourist destination in Washington State. I've posted pics of the falls earlier this year, but the autumn colors were so lovely that I thought it was worth re-capturing.
Above & Below: taken in the parking lot of the famous Salish Lodge & Spa which is nestled atop the magnificient falls.

Covered walkway from the parking lot to the lodge/falls
The Snoqualmie River upstream a bit from the falls

And that's about it. The photo below was taken near Tiger Mountain on the way home. I went hiking at Tiger Mountain today (Sunday) And I'll have that story along with a few pictures posted tomorrow.
Ta-ta for now.
