August 3rd - Misty Mountain Morning

Here's some more mountain eye-candy for y'all. This was one of my most favorite mornings at Mt. Rainier so I'm going to dwell on it a bit. (Even though the camera work was less than stellar!). I wanted to go very early this particular day so I didn't even bother going to bed. I left at 3:45am and arrived at Paradise just as the sun was coming up.

There was no one around, it was still and quiet except for the usual activity of the birds. The air was fragrant, it smelled exactly like the 'Wildlfowers of Mt. Rainier' room spray I had purchased - no kidding. All that combined with sun rays lighting the cloudy mist made for an ambience that was, well, what heaven must be like.

Reflection Lakes - famous for photos of Mt. Rainier reflected in the water. I could not get the picture below to turn out no matter how hard I tried. Perhaps the beauty was just too much for my camera, lol
Below: The next shots were taken along Bench/Snow Lake trail.

Below: I've seen a ton of deer here, but this is the first and only buck I've glimpsed. Taken from the Paradise parking lot.
Below: Taken as I was getting ready to leave. Notice the schmutz on the camera lense. Ughh!

Sigh, what a lovely morning.
Hey, thanks for checking out my blog. More August pictures tomorrow and still to come, photos of the new bachelorette pad! lol
